some people say i’m a nut
that my shell is too hard
that i must have something
easier to chew inside me
but i’m blocking them out
with all of my loose screws
making up stuff and fluff
friends say i’m wonderful
that we nourish each other
that our flavor of friendship
stays delicious even after time
even if we crack heads
from time to time
